Raymond William Smith began his earthly journey on August 4, 1933, in Chester, Oklahoma, when he was welcomed by his parents James Ray and Opal (Edsel) Smith.  He went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2025, at the age of 91 years, 6 months, and 4 days.

Raymond spent his childhood in the Chester and Major County area. He was united in marriage to Donna Elaine Garrett on November 27, 1969, at the Cherokee First Baptist Church.  He was employed at the Metro Tech. VoTech school where he worked until his retirement.

Raymond had a strong faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Donna, parents James Ray and Opal, brothers Leland and Quincy, and sister Laura Pearl Cunningham.

He is survived by his sister, Jenessa L. Smith and brother Vern Smith.

Raymond's memory will live on in the relatives and friends that he leaves behind. May his soul reside in peace.
