Tricia Grace Carter passed from this life on December 19, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 74.  Her life began on April 22, 1951, when she was welcomed into this world by her parents John Wellington, Jr. and Margie Alene (Goyen) Carter, in Sentinel, Oklahoma.

Tricia grew up in the Sentinel area where she attended School, graduating with the Class of 1969.  She then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she graduated in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Tricia put her education to work in the oil and gas industry by working as a lab tech.  She lived in both the Tulsa area and then in Houston while she pursued her career.

Tricia very much enjoyed shopping at Antique malls.  She was always looking for that special treasure or unique find.   She was also a member of the Christmas Ornament Guild. She always enjoyed collecting and sharing her wide range of ornaments with family and friends.

Tricia was preceded in death by her parents, John Jr. and Margie Carter.  She is survived by her aunt Edith Carter of New Smyrna Beach, FL: cousins  Artalea Gilchrist and husband Dean of Seiling, OK; Galen Goyen and wife Karen of Independence, MO; Monte Goyen and wife Kim of Seiling, OK; Emmett Carter and wife Linda of Edmond, OK; Joyce Carter Bean of Enid, OK;  Alan Carter and wife Dava of Seiling, OK; Paul Carter and wife Janet of Norman, OK; Judy L. Naylor and husband Douglas Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Edward D. Carter, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL;  Marie A. Myers and husband Brett of New Snyrna Beach, FL; Judith Carter of Corpus Christi, TX; and James Terrell of Simsboro, LA. There are other relatives and many friends who will miss Tricia's presence in their lives.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of the ones she has touched during her life.  May her soul rest in peace.
