Wanda Lou Duffy was born to Cecil and Erma McAllister on April 3, 1945. She graduated from high school in Loyal in 1963 and married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Roger Duffy, on May 29, 1963, in Loyal, OK. The following year, she and Roger welcomed twin daughters, Sheila and Sharla, before making their home in Fargo, OK. Roger and Wanda later moved to Seiling in 1965, where they welcomed another daughter, Cindy, and a son, Johnny. Wanda dedicated her life to helping others. She was a force of a woman—not in a loud or overbearing way, but in a steady, unstoppable, get-it-done way. She was the captain of the ship, but the heart of it too: the leader, the hardest worker, the chef, the maid, and the keeper of order and comfort. Everything ran smoothly because she made it so. Her love and service didn't stop with her family. One of her greatest joys was babysitting in Seiling, helping raise many generations—many of whom called her Grandma. Wanda and Roger mowed lawns together for 15 years. Wanda loved everything outdoors. You could always find her floating in her pool, on a lawn mower, or planting flowers. Wanda is celebrating in heaven with her husband, Roger; her parents, Cecil and Erma; her daughter, Sheila; her sister, Gail; and her son-in-law, Lanny Seal. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Liebl; her daughters, Sharla Seal and Cindy Steuart and husband Bryant, of Loco, Ok; her son, Johnny Duffy and wife Wendy of Seiling; along with 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her best friend, Schatze.
