Bella Meigs, 96, of Mutual, OK, died on October 30, 2021, at the Corn Nursing Home in Corn, OK.  Bella was born in Bavaria, Germany on February 13, 1925.  She met her future husband, Elvin Meigs during World War II.  After he was discharged from the army and returned home, he started making plans to have her join him in Oklahoma.

They made their home on a farm near Mutual, OK and were blessed with three children; Bob, Linda, and Donna.  They farmed and raised cattle side by side for the rest of their lives.  She was well known for having a beautiful yard and on most days you could find her outside mowing and trimming.  She loved spending time and playing with her grandkids and great grandkids swimming in the river, teaching them to drive the pickup, playing card games, and making their favorite Wacky Cake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elvin.

She is survived by her children, Bob Meigs and wife Lynn of Seiling, Linda Nelson and husband Bud, and Donna Holt and husband Eddie, all of Cordell, OK; seven grandchildren, Tammy Raffkind of Richmond Hills, TX, Alan Meigs of El Reno, OK, Karl Meigs of Weatherford, OK, Tanner Holt of Cordell, OK, Colten Holt of Cordell, Brent Nelson of Edmond, OK, and Jerrod Nelson of Frisco, TX; twelve great grandchildren, Logan Raffkind, Presley and Kassidy Nelson, Tenley and Calum Nelson, Lizben and Reese Meigs, Robert Reed Meigs, Haylee and Josie Holt, and Ava and Georgia Willingham.

At the request of the family, private graveside services will be held.
