Bethel Elaine (Burchett) Classen began her life on November 29, 1944, in Seiling, Oklahoma, when her parents Leslie and Elda (Perkins) Burchett welcomed her into their family.

Bethel passed from her earthly home on December 5, 2024, in Dodge City, Kansas at 80 years of age.

Bethel grew up in a large family in Seiling, Oklahoma and attended Seiling Schools, graduating with the Class of 1963.

She married James "Jimmy Lloyd, and to this union three sons were born, James "Buddy" Lloyd, Jr, David Lloyd, and Richard Lloyd.

Bethel then continued her education at Oscar Rose Junior College, and Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU).  She worked as a medical lab technician.

She later married Marlin Classen and the couple made their home in Dodge City, Kansas.

Bethel was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Elda. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Lloyd; brothers, Lowell Alan Burchett, Lane Stuart Burchett, Lynden (Lindy) Eugene Burchett, and Larry Jo Burchett; and sister Karen Henline.

Bethel is survived by her children, Buddy Lloyd and wife Suzanne, and Richard Lloyd; three sisters: Nancy Garrett Farrier, Mona Ruth Russell, and Kate Steele Paluguey; and brother Lyle Burchett.

Bethel's greatest legacy is her 8 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and the nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends she leaves with her memory.
