Betty Jane Bennett, of Seiling, passed from this life on February 8, 2019.  She was born on May 5, 1936 to Arthur and Frances (Hewitt) Kotesky in Middleville, MI.  Betty grew up in Michigan, graduating from Farwell High School. She married Jack R. Bennett and to this union two children, Linda and Cherri were born.  Betty worked as a custodian for the Traverse City Public Schools.  In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and knitting, but especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 52 years, Jack Bennett, a sister, Arlene West, and two infant grandchildren.

Left to carry her legacy are her daughters Linda M. Brown and husband Steven of West Virginia, and Cherri L. Bennett of Seiling; one sister, Marge McQueen of Michigan; son-in-law Martin Jones; five grandchildren Jack Weidauer of Woodward, OK, Heather Motely of Virginia, Bryan Jones of Seiling, Ashly Jones of Seiling, and Jeffrey Barnes of Fargo, six great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.

A private family ceremony will take place at a later date in Michigan.
