IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carla Elaine
Bennett
November 25, 1947 – November 14, 2024
Carla Elaine Pannell Bennett was born in Major County, Oklahoma to parents Walter and Henrietta (Lacks) Pannell on November 25, 1947. She passed from this life on November 14, 2024, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 20 days.
Carla and her family made their home in the Chester community, she attended Chester Grade school until its closure, she then attended Seiling Public School through graduation.
Carla was united in marriage to Gary Bennett on September 24, 2005, at the Bennett Pond. The couple established their home in Seiling. Their home was filled with love for their children: Brian, Jeff, Rachelle, Monica, and Marci.
Carla worked as a school cook where her love of cooking was enjoyed by many children throughout the years. She was also employed at Wal-Mart where she served as Activity Coordinator. Carla also enjoyed crafting, shopping, and she especially loved attending all the grandkids' activities. Her love for her family and being with them was her greatest joy.
Carla was a member of the Methodist church and was always eager to share her crafting skills by helping with bible school. This was a way for her to share her faith and her hobby with a new generation.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Henrietta Pannell, her Grandmother Jessie Dyche, and an infant grandson, Jesse Rogers.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Gary of the home in Seiling, children; son Brian Bensch and wife Kelli of Chester, son Jeff Bensch and wife Greta of Mustang, daughter Rachelle Rogers and husband Jeramy of Seiling, stepdaughters; Monica Gamble of Yukon, and Marci Ward and husband James of Moore, OK. Carla also leaves 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory in their hearts. There are nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who will feel blessed to have known Carla.
Although she is no longer among us, her memory will live on in our hearts.
Funeral Services will be Monday Nov. 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Redinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Riley Cemetery.
