IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlotte Faye
Hendrickson
December 26, 1944 – October 15, 2024
Charlotte Fay Hendrickson, born in Inola, Oklahoma, the day after Christmas 1944 to John Ed and Pansy Moore, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024 in her home. She grew up on a farm outside Inola, a middle child of twelve children consisting of six brothers and five sisters. She always treasured her childhood and had many fond memories of growing up in a large family.
After graduating from Inola High School, Charlotte met Bruce Hendrickson. Their connection was instant, and after only three months of dating, they married on February 27, 1966 in Miami, OK. Just one day shy of their two-year anniversary, they welcomed their first of four daughters, which began their journey of raising her much beloved, family.
Charlotte was many things to many people: a caring and dedicated wife, a loving and supportive mother, and a patient and fun teacher. She loved teaching, and after 28 years, she retired and settled in Seiling, OK.
In her free time, Charlotte cherished simple pleasures. She enjoyed meeting up with friends for coffee, reading, and relaxing in her favorite chair to watch her favorite shows (she was particular to gameshows). She loved to travel and took great joy in going on cruises with her siblings and going on road trips with her husband, who unfortunately passed away in January of 2020, leaving a huge void in Charlotte's life, but one she filled with warm and cherished memories of him and the family they created.
Charlotte was also a fighter. She faced her battle with cancer with quiet resilience and never once complained. She was determined to fight until the end, and through it all, she remained the strong, courageous woman her family always knew her to be. Her strength, warmth, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and her daughters will be forever proud of the grace and determination she displayed daily in the face of overwhelming adversity.
Charlotte is survived by her four daughters, Jackie Lynn Hendrickson, Tracy Jo Hendrickson, Jeri Dale Hendrickson, and Chelse Hollis, along with her son-in-law, Jeff Hollis. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Ryleigh Cheyenne Hendrickson. Charlotte is further survived by her siblings John Ed Moore, Sharon Chambers, Jackie Moore, Danny Ray Moore, Diana Dorris, and Michael Moore along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bruce Hendrickson, as well as her siblings Jimmie Moore, Alice Coleen (Sis) Justice, Ella Ann Hughes, Clyde Moore, and Mary Gail Moore.
She is deeply missed, but her love and memory live on in us.
Memorial Donations in Charlotte's honor may be made to the Seiling Senior Citizen's Center in c/o Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663)
