Dakota Jo Dawes was born on Tuesday, January 15, 2016, to parents Christopher and Dusty Dawes in Enid, Oklahoma.

Dakota's family was blessed with seven months with Dakota, before she went to her heavenly home.

In her short time, Dakota experienced holding hands with her parents, hugs and kisses from her grandparents, smiling with her siblings, sunshine, lullabies, and being told "I love you" an uncountable amount of times.

Dakota is deeply loved by her mommy and daddy, Christopher and Dustin of Taloga, big sister Addison, and twin brother Waylon. She was also adored by her grandparents, Dustin and Kimmie Thacker of Seiling, Cindy Dawes of Florence, OR, and Michael Cant of England; great grandparents JoAnn and Johnny Davenport of Grove, OK, Ronnie and Verna Blevins of Bluejacket, OK, Shirly Dawes of Florance, OR, and great great grandma Alice Buckett of Dewey, OK; aunts and uncles Kallie Thacker and Barkely Brown of Mississippi, Jacee Thacker of Seiling, and buddy Jasetin Nelson of Chester, OK as well as many more great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Dakota was greeted in heaven by those family that have preceded her in death: great grandparents John Dawes, George and Joan Cant, LeRoy and Stephanie Thacker, great great grandparents Virgil and Helen Blevins, and Percy Buckett, as well as her cousin Lacie Thacker.

The family will hold private services.
