Obituary

Darlene Hazel (Walker) Beaty was born on July 2, 1936, in Delia, Kansas, to Ruben and Violet Walker.  In 1937, Darlene, her parents and her brothers Milburn and Dean moved to Fairview, Oklahoma.  Darlene attended the Fairview Public Schools through the 8 th grade.

In 1951, she married Roger Darrel Ryel, and of that union three children were born: Michael Duane, Connie Sue, and Theta Juan.  In 1958, she married John Marshall Howell, of that union two more daughters were born Mechell Darlene and Brigette Ilene.

On December 2, 1965, Darlene had the biggest change in her life, when she was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Lee Beaty of Chester, and of that union three more daughters joined the family: Deborah Lynn, Donna Denise, and Cindy Ann.  Making them a blended family of ten: Dale and Darlene, one son and seven daughters.

Darlene enjoyed a full life, watching all of her children grow and prosper. She was a woman of many passions, first and foremost her family.  She loved to go out dancing with Dale, sewing clothes for all of her kids and grandkids, painting all of the animals she had seen, reading a good book, cross-stitching, gardening, traveling, and just sitting at her dining room table watching the birds coming to her feeders.  She truly enjoyed passing along her joys to her children and grandchildren, sharing everything their young minds would absorb.  She would host slumber parties for her granddaughters, playing dress-up right along with them.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Violet Walker, her brothers Ruben Milburn and Lewis Dean, and her daughter Theta Juan.

She is survived by her husband Dale and her faithful collie, JD, of the home; her son, Micheal Ryel and wife Loretta; her daughters, Connie Randall and husband James, Deborah Nightengale and husband Jon, Mechell Sander and husband Gary, Donna Hancock and Husband Dale, Brigette Baird, and Cindy Beaty.  From those children, she is survived by fourteen grandchildren: Robbie Glandon and wife Cindy, Tammy Maddox and husband Mark, Tony McHendry and wife Leslie, David Sander, Tara Thomas and husband Chris, Traci Gosney and husband Travis, Jaymi Boatman and husband Daniel, Bonni Sidders and husband Martin, Wade Randall and wife Abbi, Dayton Hancock and wife Andrea, Dru Hancock, Eric Nightengale and wife Ashley, Michael Nightengale, and Chloe Baird.  She also enjoyed eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends.
