IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David "Crockett"
Lloyd
December 8, 1962 – August 26, 2021
David "Crockett" Lloyd was born on December 8, 1962, to James Lloyd and Bethel (Burchett). He left his earthly home on August 26, 2021, at the age of 58 years, 8 months, and 18 days. David lived in Seiling, Oklahoma and attended the Seiling schools graduating with the class of 1981.
David and Debbie (Black) were united in marriage in 1988 at the Watonga Court House. To this marriage four children were born. Seth Thomas, Clint Lloyd, Ryan Lloyd, and Maggie Johnson.
David learned so much about everything growing up from his parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. This knowledge he would use all throughout his life. The wide spectrum of his knowledge ranged from building fences, concrete work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, tree removal, and dirt work to operating and being the mechanic for vehicles and farm equipment and then on to diesel mechanics and operating heavy equipment. He had many jobs ranging from heavy equipment operator to truck driver. He was really a true "Jack of all Trades". David was a most sought-after backhoe operator in the western Oklahoma area. He took a lot of pride in doing his jobs well, knowledgably, correctly. and always with a smile. There is no denying that David was a hard-working individual. He had an uncanny ability to fix anything and most of his best jobs in life came straight from his heart. David had a great sense of loyalty to family, friends, and America. He would do or give whatever he could to help anyone who was in need. He was a very selfless and giving man.
David's greatest joys were his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and teaching them the things he knew. He was very proud of them and their accomplishments. He showed them kindness, understanding, generosity, and was always willing to listen. Most of all, he gave them laughter, lots and lots of laughter.
David was family to many and a friend to all. He truly was the definition of a "good man". All in all, his heart was as big as he was.
David is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents the Lloyds, and maternal grandparents the Burchetts, also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father James Lloyd Sr. of Seiling, OK and his mother Bethel Classen of Dodge City, KS. Also left are his beloved children; Seth Thomas of Fay, OK, Clint Lloyd of Fay, OK, Ryan Lloyd of Geary, OK, and Maggie Lloyd of Fay, OK. The 12 grandchildren that will miss his laughter are Sage, Sabriel, Callie, Aidyn, Naomi, Harlequin, Aurora, Gemmah, Freya, Brandon, Mason, and Anna. Others that will miss him dearly are his brother Richard Lloyd of Lexington, OK, brother James (Buddy) Lloyd and wife Suzanne of Texas, and close friend, Julia Cosby of Seiling, OK. He will be missed by 6 aunts, 4 uncles, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. David was loved and cherished by all.
