Delbern Theodore Barnes, was born on August 13, 1925 to Theodore and Nora (Davis) Barnes and went to his heavenly home on February 16, 2017.
Delbern spent his life doing many things, a welder during the first oil boom, his automotive shop, taking care of his cattle, spending time with his family and friends, and doing some traveling. He loved all his grandkids.
Delbern married Jessie Long on August 8, 2008 at 8:00 P.M. They had some wonderful memories during their time together.
Delbern served in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister, two brothers Olan and Elvin, and step-daughter Peggy Greene.
He is survived by his wife Jessie, one son Frank Milledge and wife Mary; three step daughters Veta Davison, Bodie Hutchcraft, and Sandra Pickering and husband Frank; a step son Bill McInteer; two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, seventeen step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren; special neighbors Don and Patty Walker; as well as many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Elm Grove Community Church. Burial will follow at Chester Cemetery under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.
