Obituary

Donna Lee (Underwood) White Buffalo began her life on May 29, 1957, when her parents Tecumseh and Nagie Underwood welcomed her to this world. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK. She passed from this life on October 8, 2023, at the age of 66 years, 4 months, and ten days. Donna spent her early years in the Seminole area. She attended grade school and high school at Pleasant Grove. She then attended Seminole Junior College.

In 2001, Donna moved to Seiling, Oklahoma where she resided until her passing. In 2010, Donna was united in marriage to Edward James "Sonny" White Buffalo at the church in Seminole, OK. They shared a life full of love and devotion.

Donna was employed at various jobs ranging from working at the Wrangler factory, the Seminole Nation Casino, and working as a Cheyenne Arapaho Firefighter.

Donna came to know and love her Lord and Savior and was baptized into the Methodist Church and the Native American Church.

Donna was a woman of many traits and qualities, from money pit management to volunteer wildland Fire Fighting to loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Tecumseh and Nagie, brothers Victor and Mathew, sisters Jo Kay and Lywana: daughters; Toni Underwood, Casey Pipestem: and sons; Christopher Pipestem, and Lionel Simpson-LaClaire.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband Sonny of Seiling, son ChaChio Pipestem of Sapulpa, Daughters Taffney Harjo of Seminole and Ruth Ann of Tulsa, brothers Tecumseh Underwood, and Ted Underwood of Seminole, and sister Pamela Yahola. Others that will miss her presence here on earth are 13 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. Her latest great-granddaughter was born at the same time as Donna passed at 7:30 AM on Oct. 8 th .

Donna was strong, loving, firm, gentle, knowledgeable, and helpful. All qualities that will be missed but have also been imbedded in those she touched and therefore she lives on.

To Donna Lee White Buffalo, a loving and protecting wife, mother, grandmother, Matriarch of the Ahvlakulke (Seminole sweet potato clan), knowledge bearer of Tsistsistas (Cheyenne) ceremonial way, and a woman of faith in God Almighty, we say, "Cehecares", till we meet again.
