Obituary

Edwina Mae Bull, of Oklahoma City, passed from this life on May 22, 2019 at the age of 71.  She was born to Edward John Bull and Elizabeth (Black) Bull in Clinton, OK on April 14, 1948.  She grew up in the Seiling area and attended Seiling Public Schools and was baptized at the Mennonite Church of Seiling.  She married Paul Gonzales, Sr. in 1965 at the Mennonite Church in Seiling, and to this union four children, Paul Jr., Alisa, Mitchell, and Yolanda were born.  In 1983, she met the love of her life Lucio Romero, and the couple moved to Oklahoma City.  Lucio preceded her in death after a battle with cancer.  She spent her time caring for her family and was a wonderful housewife, mom, grandma, and great grandma.  She enjoyed playing softball and being with her great grandchildren, family get togethers, going to Indian dances, Cheyenne and Arapaho Elder activities, and always looked forward to going with Quoint on roadtrips.

In addition to her parents, Edward and Elizabeth, Edwina was preceded in death by her companion, Lucio Romero; two sons, Paul Gonzales Jr. and Mitchell Ray Gonzales; three sisters, Virginia Flores, Mary Belle Contreras, and Frances Garcia; and a brother Merlin Bull, and granddaughter Graciela Uribe.

She is survived by her daughters Alisa Gay Gonzales-Chavez of Woodward, Yolanda Marie Gonzales-Uribe of Oklahoma City; a brother Ervin Bull and wife Bernice of Clinton; three sisters, Diane Cassio and husband Rafael of Woodward, Minnie Tapia of Sharon, and Darlene Love of Elk City; two aunties, Norma Smith and Rita Black; 13 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A traditional Cheyenne-Arapaho wake will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Cheyenne/Arapaho Community Building in Seiling.

Funeral Services will be held at the Restoration Church on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 1:30 PM with burial to follow at Brumfield cemetery.
