ELDON LEE KNOWLES, was born December 8, 1943 in Seiling, OK to Robert Peyton and Mabel Leota (Staley) Knowles.  He passed away June 28, 2025 in Houston, TX.

Eldon attended Seiling Public School graduating high school with the class of 1962.  He furthered his education attending Southwestern State College in Weatherford.

He began working for a hotel chain in Irving, TX then transferred to New Orleans, LA.  He was married for a brief time and they moved to Tulsa where Eldon began working for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation known as ODOT.  He transferred to Buffalo, OK where he worked in construction, surveying and material sampling.  Eldon was a childhood victim of polio and overcame numerous obstacles in his life.  While working for ODOT, his symptoms returned forcing him to retire.  He moved to Houston, TX where the physicians who had diagnosed and treated him, now practiced.  He continued making his home in Houston until his death.  Eldon was an avid football and NASCAR fan, enjoying watching both on TV.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Edwin Knowles and 4 sisters: Ruth Hanson, Easter Stephens, Eunice Knowles and Karen Archer.  He is survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He requested cremation with a private family graveside service at Brumfield Cemetery in Seiling, OK.
