Harold Hollenback, of Seiling, passed from this life on August 31, 2024 at the age of 88.  He was born to Oathe Harold and Ada (Hambree) Hollenback on August 23,1936 in Cedardale, OK.  Harold grew up in the area.  On May 20, 1954, he married Connie Mae (Hymer) Hollenback in Alva, OK, and to this union four children: Deborah, Kay, Donita, and Jackie were born.  When he was younger Harold went to work for a furniture maker in Wichita, KS and later at Boeing.  Harold then worked for the Rock Island Railway, and later as a water well driller for Eubanks.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  In his spare time, he liked fishing, gardening, and woodworking.  Harold was known to help anybody and will be fondly remembered for his ability to visit and his "tall stories."  Harold especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his wife Connie; children Donita and Jackie; grandson John Wayne Sessoms; brothers Jack and Carl Hollenback; and sisters Opal Hastings and Dorothy Schaffer.

He is survived by daughter Deborah Irving (Bruce) of Seiling, OK; daughter Kay Roe (Jeff) of Chester, OK; brother Elmer Hollenback and wife Linda of Colorado; four grandchildren Derrick, Bryce, Cilia, and Jodi; nine great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
