Irene Ethel Caywood was born on March 2nd, 1934, to Grover and Myrtle (Hulsey) Caywood in Wagoner, Oklahoma.  Irene passed on May 13th 2024.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, 3 of her beloved children, and many other family members and friends.  She is survived by her 2 sons: Douglas and Raymond, countless nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren.

Irene found a home in Mineola, Kansas where she loved her jobs at the nursing home, and hosting at the Cowtown Club in Dodge City.  She moved to Seiling, Oklahoma in her later years where she remained until she passed.

Irene was the epitome of tough on the outside but as soft as warm butter on the inside.  If you were lucky enough to get close to her then you were usually graced with one of her prized quilts.

Irene will be missed and thought of often by those who loved her dearly.

Irene requested no funeral service, but a small memorial will be held at the Richmond Church on Sunday, May 19th at 10:00 a.m.
