James Edward "Jim" Lloyd, Sr. was born on September 3, 1941 on the Miller Farm in rural Dewey County, OK to Earnest "Earnie" and Opal (Jones) Lloyd.  He passed from this life on January 6, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 3 days.

Jim grew up in the Chester and Seiling area, first attending the school in Chester, and later graduating from Seiling High School with the Class of 1960.  Jim could always be found working, whether it was operating heavy equipment, building fence, chopping wood, or his favorite job, tending cattle.  He lived in Seiling for the rest of his life.

In addition to his parents, Earnie and Opal Lloyd, Jimmy was preceded in death by his longtime companion, C. J. Dedrick; his son, David Lloyd; sister Colleen Hickman and husband Robert; and great-grandson Waylon Marshall.

Left to carry on his legacy are his sons, James "Buddy" Lloyd and wife Suzanne of Willow Park, TX and Richard Lloyd of Lexington, OK; two brothers, Arnold Lloyd of Del City, OK and Dwight Lloyd and wife Earlene of Moore, OK ; eight grandchildren Ryan Lloyd of Geary, OK, Maggie Lloyd, Clint Lloyd, and Seth Thomas of Faye, OK, James E. Lloyd, III and Jonathan E. Lloyd of Oklahoma City, Deanna N. Lloyd of Kingfisher, OK and Sara Lloyd; 19 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday January 10, 2022 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel in Seiling, OK.  Burial will follow at Brumfield Cemetery.
