Jeanie (Redinger) Simons, of Chester, daughter of Guss and Viola Redinger, was born August 16, 1959. in Fairview, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on November 23, 2024, at the age of 65 years, 3 months, and 7 days.

Jeanie was raised on the family farm near Chester, Oklahoma where she attended the Lakeside Chester School and Seiling Schools. She was united in marriage to Mike Parker in 1978 and to this union four children were born, Matt, Patience, Jennifer and J.P.  She married Wayne Ellis Simons in 2009. And the couple made their home on the farm.

Jeanie worked as a farmer nearly her entire life in the Orion area.  She was highly active in the Chester Community and was the organizer of countless events through the years.

In addition to her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by her son, Matt Parker; an infant grandson, Wyatt Parker; brothers Bill Redinger and Don Abbott, and sister Barbara Evans.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Simons of the home; children Patience Smart and husband Kyle of Seiling, Jennifer Jackson of Chester, and J. P. Parker and wife Jenna of Orion; two brothers Bob Redinger of Seiling, and Wayne Redinger and wife Cindy of Chester; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jeanie's memories will be cherished by all who were fortunate to have known her. She will be forever remembered for her love of her family, farm, and community.

Funeral Services for Jeanie (Redinger) Simons will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester, OK with Pastor Lance Fuqua presiding.  Burial will follow at Orion Cemetery.
