IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanne Marie
Power
May 6, 1939 – June 22, 2022
With peace in our hearts, our family wants to share the passing of our loving mother Jeanne Power in the early hours of June 22, 2022.
Born in Hazelton, North Dakota on May 6, 1939, Jeanne Marie Phillips was welcomed into this life by her parents Jessie and Irene Phillips. Both entered the next chapter prior to Jeanne. She was the oldest of nine children. Jeanne's childhood years were spent in the Wyoming area. She later obtained her GED at McAlester, Oklahoma and attended 2 years at Rose State University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
On October 17, 1992, Jeanne married John Rex Power in McLoud, Oklahoma where the couple made their home.
Jeanne worked as an apartment manager in the Oklahoma City area, she worked for a courier service, and worked as a hotshot driver in the oilfield. She resided in areas around McAlester, McLoud, and Oklahoma City before making her final home in Balch Springs, Texas.
Jeanne was a faithful follower of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all her life.
Jeanne was a wonderful seamstress and loved all kinds of arts and crafts that allowed her to use her sewing skills. She also loved playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Those that knew Jeanne also know how important family and friends were to her. With a smile on her face she would proudly exclaim, "I have 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, but then they are ALL great!"
Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband John "Rex" Power; her parents; and two brothers: Raymond and Alvin.
She is survived by her son, David Grignon and family; her daughters, Tina Gutierrez and family, Tyann Snake and family, Bonnie Kubli and family, and Jonnie Pape and family
She is also leaving brothers Tom and Art; sisters Hazel, Sue, and Sheila to cherish her memory.
There are many other family members and relatives along with a host of friends who will miss Jeanne's loving smile.
We love you mom, and we all know that you are still with us.
Your loving family will cherish your memory and miss you greatly.
Memorial Donations in Jeanne's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society C/O Redinger Funeral Home P.O. Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663
