John Edward Sander was born to Alvie and Lydia (Landes) Sander on January 3, 1939, in Seiling, Oklahoma.  He departed this life on June 22, 2022, at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

John graduated from Seiling High School with the Class of 1957.  He continued his education at Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1962.  After graduation, he served 6 months in the Army.  When his service was completed, John helped his father on the farm that summer as he had done during his years growing up.  In the fall of 1963, John took a job with J.I. Case Farm Machinery in Oklahoma City.

While at OSU, John had the privilege of meeting Anneva Schoenhals.  They were united in marriage on December 21, 1963.  John and Anneva stayed in Oklahoma City until May of 1965.  They then moved to Seiling to farm, ranch, and raise their family.

They raised their two sons; Warren and Stuart, on the farm.  John retired in 2006.

John was active in his church, traveled frequently, and enjoyed the many events of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Anneva of the home, two sons: Warren and wife Lisa of Tulsa, OK and their children, Ella and Lydia; and Stuart and Kimberly of Cheyenne, OK, and their children Kate Frantz and husband Matthew of League City, TX, and Leah of Cheyenne.  He is also survived by a host of cousins, many other relatives, and a host of friends.

The family has requested memorial contributions in John's honor be made to the Seiling Education Foundation C/O Redinger Funeral Home.
