John WesLee Plain, 52, passed away on October 14, 2023, at Woodward Hospital in Woodward, Oklahoma. He was born on November 9, 1970, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to John Evan and Jannette "Jan" (Potter) Plain.

John will be remembered for his patriotic nature.  He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and performed four active deployments during his tenure there. He had an unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was known for his love for the outdoors, spending time camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.

John is survived by his wife, Lorrie Plain; his children, Sammi Jo Arzaga and husband Jesus of Seiling, Shane WesLee Plain of Seiling, Alisha Jacobs of Woodward,  Sara Jacobs and Jorge Sanchez of Woodward, Jesse Jacobs of Woodward, Lindsay Plain, Shaundra Plain, Jasmine Pope, and Johnny Holzhouser; his seven grandchildren, Konnor, Jesse, Jeslyn, Liam, A.J., Micheal, and Rosa; sister, Tonya Kourt and husband Todd; brother Jerry Plain; three aunts, Georgia Perez, Ellen Rabe, and Mary Hoover; special lifelong friend Melvin Horne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Evan Plain and Jannette "Jan" Plain.

The family requests that donations be made to the Woodward V.F.W. or the Brumfield Cemetery in c/o Redinger Funeral Home, Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663.

A funeral service to honor John's life will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Redinger Funeral Chapel, in Seiling, OK.  Burial will follow at Brumfield Cemetery.
