Kenneth Cook, son of the late Bronnie and Pearl Cook was born December 31, 1937, in Seiling OK. Kenneth was the second of 3 children. He lived in the Seiling, OK area his entire life. He completed his earthly journey on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the age of 85 years 9 months and 15 days.
On October 4, 1959, Kenneth was united in marriage to Sondra Hutchinson at the Methodist Church in Quinlan Ok. One daughter Shelly was adopted during their union. Their union lasted 9 years. On July 23, 1973, Kenneth was united in marriage to Donna Salisbury at the Methodist church in Seiling OK and Kenneth gained two sons Stacy Salisbury and Kelly Salisbury, a union that lasted until the time of Donna's death.
His working years began on the farm as a child and farming and ranching remained his passion. His greatest passion was his cattle. He had his own Airplane and loved to fly. He was Dewey County commissioner for 14 years, custodian at Seiling public schools for several years, and worked at Woodward livestock until his retirement, a job he absolutely loved. Kenneth was a member of the Lions Club, a membership he was very proud of.
Kenneth was a beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Bronnie and Pearl Cook, his wife Donna Cook, and his beloved Dog BJ.
Memories of Kenneth will be cherished by his daughter Shelly Peterson and Husband Curtis of Olmitz Kansas, Son Stacy Salisbury of Vici Oklahoma, Son Kelly Salisbury of Vici Oklahoma, Brother Gene Cook and wife Karen of Boothbay, Maine, Sister Lola Lanza of Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to the above, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends that will cherish Kenneth forever.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, at the Methodist Church in Seiling, OK. Pastors Shane Sander and Daniel Hammons will officiate..
Memorial donations in Kenneth's honor may be made to the Seiling/Fairview VFW, C/O Redinger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663.
