Leroy Dusty Rhodes was born on January 26, 1943, in Gainesville ,Florida, to parents Albert and Lilly Bell (Messa)  Rhodes.  " Dusty" as he was affectionately called, passed from this life at his home on July 4, 2021 at the age of 78 years, 5 months, and 9 days.  Dusty was part of a large family with four sisters and one brother to make up their household.  Dusty attended grade school and high school thru graduation in the Gainesville school systems.

Dusty joined the military and served our country as a member of the U.S. Army until his retirement.

In the mid 1990's, Dusty and Linda Sills were married and made their home in Seiling, Oklahoma.  Dusty has called Seiling home for over 30 years.

Dusty was blessed with two sons and a daughter, Andy, Randy, and Charity.

Dusty enjoyed the outdoors, he loved to fish and he thoroughly enjoyed playing with his beloved dogs. He was a member of the Seiling Masonic Lodge #495.

Dusty is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lilly Bell, and his wife Linda.  He is survived by his sons Andy Rhodes of Olala, Florida, and Randy Rhodes also of Florida, and his daughter, Charity Rhodes of Seiling, Oklahoma, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also left to honor his memory are brother Billy Rhodes and sisters Barbara Jean Swilley, Betty Jean Thomas, Sue, and Lori Ann, other relatives and friends.
