Lynda Grace (McCollom) Merick was born February 23, 1948 to Orville and Alzada (Wiley) McCollom in Mooreland, OK.  She departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

Lynda was raised on the family farm north of Chester.  She attended Seiling Schools, graduating with the Class of 1966.  After graduation, she attended business school in Oklahoma City before returning home to the family farm.  Lynda began working at Brownie's Café and the Seiling Nursing Center.

On November 23, 1968 she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Merick.  They made their home in Seiling where they raised their three children, Julie, Greg and Alisa.  While caring for her family, Lynda enjoyed several hobbies including sewing, crocheting, quilting, embroidering, and cooking for her family.  Lynda loved her children and took pleasure in caring for not only her grandkids but also many of the children of the community throughout the years.  In her later years, she enjoyed baking cookies on Wednesdays for the Power House Kids at Elm Grove Community Church where she was a lifelong member.

Lynda is survived by daughters Julie Campbell and husband Steve of Chester, Alisa Merick of Seiling, and son Greg Merick and wife Aimee of Edmond; three grandchildren Kellie and Kendra Campbell, and Zachary Merick; two great grandchildren Braxton and Ryker Beall, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bob Merick; her parents Orville and Alzada McCollom, a granddaughter Emily Merick, brother Wendell McCollom and a sister, Norma Green.

The services will go live shortly before 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2020 from the Redinger Funeral Chapel in Seiling.

Burial will follow the service at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Memorial Donations in Lynda's honor may be made to the Area Medical Foundation with Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663) serving as custodian of the funds.
