Margie Lyle Lassabe Cannon Lewis was born on August 17, 1938, to parents Victor and Pearl Lassabe in Long Beach, Mississippi.  She spent her childhood and early adult life in this area.

Margie was blessed with four children: sons Sonny, Rodney, Danny, and daughter Stephanie. In 1984, Margie moved to Mooreland, Oklahoma where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Margie enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Emanuel and Pearl Mary Lassabe, brother Robert Lassabe, brother Ramie Lassabe, and sister-in-law Mary Lassabe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children:  Doyle "Sonny" Cannon Jr. and girlfriend Kim Cloutier of Buffalo, OK; Rodney Cannon of Waukomis, OK; Danny Cannon and wife Pam of Woodward, OK; and Stephanie Corr and husband Lanny Jr. of Mooreland, OK. Others that will miss her presence are: sister Ruby Threadgill of Gulfport, MS; brother Kenneth Lassabe and wife Carolyn of Long Beach, MS; sister Catherine Le Presto of Saucier, MS; brother Vic Lassabe and wife Marlene of Long Beach, MS; sister Marie Borzik and husband Cecil of Gulf Port, MS; sister Joyce Guillory and husband Carl of Canton, GA; and sister Kay Ross and husband Joey of Long Beach, MS. Margie will also be missed by 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.  She will forever be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on March 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Mooreland Community Center in Mooreland, OK. The memorial service will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/ShawandRedingerFuneralHomes for those that cannot attend.

Margie will be laid to rest at the family plot in Long Beach, MS, with a family graveside service on May 29, 2022.
