Michael Richard Stambaugh was born on October 27, 1981 to Benjamin and Rita (Hale) Stambaugh.  His younger years were spent in Norman, Ok and Fairview, Oklahoma.  They moved to the ranch near Chester, Oklahoma when Michael was in the 2nd grade.  He attended the Seiling Schools through his high school years.  During this time, he was active in soccer, football, 4-H, and FFA.  He was also active in the Elm Grove youth group.

Michael loved spending time with friends, fishing and hiking at the ranch, helping with the farm chores, and showing his livestock animals.  He loved riding his 4-wheeler around the ranch.  He helped with bailing hay, repairing fences, and taking care of the cattle.  He always had a happy disposition and would go out of his way to help others.  He kept the lawn mowed and the vehicles clean.  He won several awards with Royal Rangers and loved their campouts, especially when they were held at the ranch.

On May 5, 2001, Michael married Kersten Hutchison.  To this union three children were born: Sierra Lynn, Hunter Lane, and Shay Lee.  Michael loved his children very much.  He worked long hours to provide for them.  His primary jobs were in the oil field and later as a truck driver.  Michael cooked, cleaned, and checked his children's homework.  He helped them with school and church activities, and also their sports activities.  He never missed one of their games.   The past several years, Michael dealt with severe back injuries, but is thankful to Lonnie and Linda Parry for letting him help feed cattle.  He further appreciated Butch Fjoser, Matt Busse, and Mike Cordes for the skills he gained in long-range shooting, as well as many others.

Michael is survived by his father Ben Stambaugh of Vici, Oklahoma; his mother Rita Hamner and husband Terry of Yukon, Oklahoma; sister Devin Stambaugh of Woodward, two brothers: Bryan Friend of Oklahoma City and William Henry Stambaugh of Amarillo, TX and Dustin Houston of Yukon, OK.  His Children, Sierra, Hunter, and Shay Stambaugh of Holdenville, OK.  He will be missed by numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester, OK.  Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery.
