Nolan Ray

Nolan Ray Gore, 88, of Pueblo, CO, passed away on July 30, 2022. Nolan was born on October 12, 1933, in Lenora, OK to Floyd and Lillian Gore. He grew up in the Seiling, OK area where he met and married his wife, Irlene (Hall). They recently celebrated 69 years of marriage. He attended Friends University in Wichita, KS graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a minor in Sociology.
Nolan served in the Army from 1957-1959, attaining the rank of Specialist-4, and following his discharge, took a job with Prudential Insurance working in Wichita. He was later promoted to the office in Enid, and there Nolan was the President of the Life Underwriters Association, Enid Chamber of Commerce, and the Wesleyan Methodist Church where he taught the High School Sunday School class. He was later named to manage the Prudential offices in Lawton in 1966 and Colorado Springs in 1974.
After retiring from Prudential, Nolan pursued other interest as he went on to own several motels/hotels in the Colorado Springs area. He was also a partner in a gift shop in Old Colorado City for quite a few years. Nolan even became a real estate agent before he finally retired for real.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, tennis, ping pong, and reading.
Nolan was a beloved son, brother, husband, dad, grandad, great grandad, and recently great-great grandad. He loved very deeply and was very loved and will be missed by his family.
Nolan was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lillian, brother, Alton Gore, and son Chris Gore.
He is survived by his wife Irlene; children Carla Holley and husband John of Oklahoma City, OK, Pattie Brooks and husband Jeff of Palmer Lake, CO, Wade Gore of Colorado Springs, Tammy Snyder and husband Mike of Pueblo West, CO; a sister Andrea Unwin and husband Neil of Plainview, TX, as well as 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Nolan will be missed by several other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church of Seiling (306 N. Walnut, Seiling, OK 73663)
Memorial Donations in Nolan's honor may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Seiling in care of Redinger Funeral Home, Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663
