Norman Lee Hurt began his life in Seiling, Oklahoma on July 13, 1943.  He was welcomed into this world by his parents Adolph and Louise Hurt.  Norman departed this life on January 25, 2023 at the age of 79 years 6 months, and 12 days. He was a lifelong Seiling resident. He attended grade school and high school in Seiling, and he remained a proud Wildcat all of his life.

On December 22, 1968, Norman and united in marriage to Beverly Halderman.  The couple welcomed a daughter, Sherry to their family.

Norman worked in the oilfield and was also employed by Waldon's and the Shamrock Café.

Norman greatly enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions.  He was always looking for a bargain or a hidden treasure.  He loved to build things, he was always tinkering on one thing or another.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Louise Hurt; Grandparents John August and Antonya Hurt, and Earnest and Pearl Wilson: brothers Donald Hurt and Robert Hurt; sister Patsy Hurt; and nephew Donald Hurt, Jr.

Norman leaves behind his daughter, Sherry Hurt of Seiling, sister Anita Donovan of Midwest City, OK,  three grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.  His presence will be missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel in Seiling, OK.
