PATRICIA D. "PATTI" BUCHMILLER, 50, of Seiling, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on August 26, 1964 to Robert and V. Laverne Griffiths in Springfield, IL. She grew up in Illinois, eventually graduating from Springfield College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. In 1984, she met the love of her life William "Allen" Buchmiller at the hospital where she worked. The two were married in Springfield on February 14, 1986. The couple made their home in Springfield until 1989. After this they lived in Taos, NM and Salem, OR before finally settling in Seiling in 1996. Patti was proud of being a mother and grandmother, and made this her full time job. She had been a member of the Seiling Homemakers Club and the Seiling Boosters. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, traveling with her family, having tea with friends, and collecting teddy bears.
In addition to her parents, Robert and Laverne Griffiths, Patti was preceded in death by her sister Paula Ake.
Left to carry on her legacy are husband William "Allen" of the home; children Jacqueline Buchmiller and fiancé Clint of Woodward, Christopher Buchmiller and fiancé Addyson, Tracy Buchmiller, and Selena Buchmiller, all of Seiling; three grandchildren Mason Buchmiller, Lynnlee Diane Roquemore, and Jaxen Patrick Roquemore; sister Janice List and husband Ronnie of Mason City, IL; brothers Freddie Griffiths and wife Sheila of Carlinville, IL, and Larry Griffiths and wife Deborah of Riverton, IL; brother in law Frankie Ake of Chester; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would also like to extend a big thanks to Dr. Janey Leachman Hammons and Faith Hospice for all their care and support.
Graveside services for Patti will be held at 2:00 o'clock on Tuesday, July, 2015 at the Brumfield Cemetery of Seiling with Pastor Orville White officiating. Christopher Buchmiller, Tracy Buchmiller, Adrian Carson, Cody Carson, Ehric Young, Dalton Whetstone, Brandon Winters, and Trevor Thurber will serve as casket bearers. The family of Patti Buchmiller has entrusted her care, services, and burial to director Luke Faires and the caring staff of Redinger Funeral Home.
