Obituary

Phyllis Jean Piner was born January 4, 1952 to Charles Emerson Smith and Kathleen  Jordan in Clinton, North Carolina. She passed from this life on July 27, 2024 at the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 23 days.

She grew up and attended school in Clinton NC.  Being the oldest of five girls helped to create the loving nurturing adult she grew into.  Shortly after high school, Phyllis gave birth to her first daughter, ReBecca.

Phyllis married Bobby Clark in 1975 and they had two daughters Kathryn and Bobbi Jean.

Phyllis was a stay at home mom for many years.  She was a loving Christian mother who enjoyed her girls. After all her girls were in school, Phyllis started her own home cleaning business.  She was very successful and her need for perfection was appreciated by all her clients.  Phyllis also sat with elderly patients and was a wonderful caregiver.  She loved all of the patients she cared for.  Her and Bobby parted ways but remained friends. Later in life Phyllis managed a Subway where she met the love of her life, Roger when he walked in to order a sandwich.  They both said it was love at first sight.  In 2011 the couple moved to Oklahoma and called it home.

Phyllis is survived by three daughters: ReBecca Ann Bensch and husband Chad of Chester, OK, Kathryn Lou Taylor and husband Brandon of Sneads Ferry, NC, Bobbi Jean Rochelle and husband Bobby of Hampstead, NC.  Four sisters Sherry Jacobs, Rachael Frazier, Ginger Smith, Charlene Strickland all of North Carolina.  Five grandchildren Trevor Brock and his wife Phallyn of Seiling, OK, Arturo Fabela-Taylor of Sneads Ferry, NC, Joshua Block and his wife Saige of Castle Hayne, NC,  Kathleen Jean Taylor of Sneads Ferry, NC, and Liam Rochelle of Hampstead, NC. Two great grandsons Owen and Hudson Brock both of Seiling OK,  and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roger Carroll Piner, her mother Kathleen Bradshaw, Stepfather Charles Bradshaw and father Charles Emerson Smith
