Randal Gene Red Hat left his earthly home on April 19, 2025, at the age of 67 years, 7 months, and 7 days. His walk on this earth began on September 12, 1957, when he was welcomed by his parents, Allen "Curley" and Imogene Camilla (Nightwalker) Red Hat.  He was born at the CPHS Indian Hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma.  Randal was given the Cheyenne name Netse Ȯxháahketaėséhévého  'Chief Little Eagle.           '
Randal and his family resided in the Seiling, Oklahoma area.  He attended Seiling Schools and graduated with the class of 1975.  After High School, Randal attended Welding school in Oklahoma City and was honored as a Certified Welder.   During his younger years, Randal attended the Indian Mennonite Church.
On December 24, 1979, Randal was united in marriage to Karen Little Coyote.  The couple were blessed with two sons, Cato Gene and Allen Dean.
Randal worked as a welder and resided in Oklahoma City for numerous years before moving back to Seiling in 1996. He worked at "the Bluff" for several years after he returned to the Seiling area.
Randal was quoted as saying "Always been the best at everything I did".  He prided himself on doing the best job he could.
Randal enjoyed listening to music, crossword puzzles, classic cars, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He loved helping the kids with their fundraisers.
Randal always said "I'm a damn good guy!".  His favorite job was being behind the bull pen at the stockyards.
Randal was preceded in death by his father Allen Curley Red Hat, mother Imogene Camilla Nightwalker, brothers Clyde Dale Red Hat, Ronald Dean Red hat, and Ronald Red Hat,  grandson Alex Washington, and nephews Gilbert Red Hat and Tony Howling Buffalo.

Randal's presence on this earth will be missed by many, but his legacy will live on through those he leaves behind.  May his soul rest in peace.
