Randy Lynn Seifried, 66 year-old, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his family farm south of Seiling, OK.
Randy was born on July 30, 1955, in Fairview, OK to Delbert and Vera (Smith) Seifried. Randy grew up on the family farm and attended Seiling Public Schools. Randy continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, receiving a master's degree in education. Randy was a lifelong educator and mentor, beginning his career as a teacher, then an elementary principal, and finally as the Superintendent for Seiling Public Schools; which position he held until his retirement. His proudest accomplishment was building a new school for the community.
Randy was united in marriage to Marquita Kay Mann on August 3, 1979, in Sharon, OK. They made their first home in Chester, OK, then Sharon before settling in Seiling. They were blessed with four children: Andy, Sheridan, John, and Adam.
Randy enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He served on the board of the Seiling Rural Fire and Rescue Service. Randy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Seiling and was currently attending the First Baptist Church in Weatherford, OK.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Vera Seifried, infant son Adam Seifried, brother Geary Seifried, niece Aspen Daniel, and great-nephew Maverick Wittman.
He is survived by his spouse Marquita; children Andy Seifried, Sheridan Seifried, and John Seifried; granddaughter Sophia Seifried; brother Dennis and sister-in-law Donna Seifried; in-laws Don and Judy Mann of Vici; sisters-in-law Cathy Seifried of Weatherford, OK, Stephanie Castor of Ripley, OK, and Kristal and Doug Daniel of Martinsville, Indiana; brothers-in-law Travis and Chris Mann of Sharon, OK, and Forrest and Jeanne Mann of Drummond, OK; one aunt, many nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Seiling High School.
