Richard Lloyd Smith, II, began his life on March 29, 1982, when his parents, Richard and Tami Smith welcomed him into this world.  His earthly journey ended on July 2, 2024, when he passed from this life at the age of 42 years, 3 months, and 4 days.

Ric, as he was known by, was the oldest sibling with a brother Michael and a sister, Katrina, that made their family complete.  Ric grew up in the Fonda area and attended school in Seiling, he was a proud graduate of Seiling High School.  He furthered his education by attending a few years of college.  Ric was employed as a Blackjack dealer at the Casino.

Ric was united in marriage to Amy Hall and through this marriage he gained a daughter, Brittaney Marie Potts.  His family was a great joy to Ric, and he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with each and every one of his family members.  He was especially close to his nieces and nephew, Acelyn, Aleigh, and Tucker Snow.

Ric is preceded in death by his father, Richard Lloyd Smith, grandparents Melvin and Norma Smith, grandfather Larry Murray, and Uncle Robert Murray.

Rick leaves behind his wife Amy of the home, his mother Tami, stepdaughter Brittaney Marie Potts, brother Michael Smith and wife Danielle of Fonda, sister Katrina Smith and husband Dallas Wagner of Canton, and his grandmother Evona Muray of Aline.  Others who will cherish his memory are his father and mother In-Law  Kenneth and Janet Potts, half-brother Shawn Stoner and wife Jennifer, half-sister Misty Minks and husband Tom, sister-in-law Cassandra Harrington and husband Justin, Aunts; Verda Weston, Patty Hewitt and husband Ronnie, Marilyn Morton, Carolyn Smith,  and JoAnn Ross and husband Gordon, and uncle Greg Murray and wife Deanna. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends who will forever hold on to the memories they shared with Ric.

Although his life on earth was short, he will be cherished forever. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
