IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Allen
Wyckoff
August 7, 1956 – November 11, 2021
RICHARD ALLEN WYCKOFF, son of Renzie and Carolyn (Bensch) Wyckoff; was born August 7, 1956 on his father's birthday at Mooreland, Oklahoma. He departed this life on November 11, 2021 at the Wyckoff home in Chester, OK surrounded by family. He was 65 years of age.
Richard was raised in rural Woodward County, and he attended Mooreland Public School where he graduated from high school with the class of 1974. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Kay Murray on June 28, 1975 at Elm Grove Assembly of God near Chester, Oklahoma. They moved to Woodward where he was employed at Dowell Schlumberger. They welcomed their 2 sons, Rick and Josh, who he was extremely proud of. Then, they moved to Chester where he was employed with Safety Clean and where he worked as Lab Technician. Next, he and his wife moved to
Andrews, Texas where he was employed with Waste Control Specialists. They then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas for four years where he was employed at US Ecology. Finally, they moved back to Andrews, Texas where he was employed at Waste Control Specialists and was promoted to Environmental Manager until retirement in 2019.
After retirement, his dream was to move to a lake house to homestead and fish for the remainder of his life. He made that dream come true when they moved to Tamaha, OK on Kerr Reservoir. His life abruptly changed though when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. They moved back to Chester to be near family while he courageously fought this terrible disease.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Wyckoff of 46 years; 2 sons, Rick Wyckoff of the home, and Joshua and Deedee Wyckoff of Norman, Oklahoma, and his precious granddaughter Ella Wyckoff; his mother, Carolyn Wyckoff of Chester, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Carol Jean Epperly and her husband Bob of Chester, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews, one special niece, Sarah; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his father, Renzie Wyckoff, brother, Raymond Wyckoff, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester, OK. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
