Robert (Bob) Ray Hargis was born on August 24, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Lewis L. and Ruth Ann (Lovett) Hargis.  Bob grew up northwest of Seiling in the Richmond community and attended Richmond Schools until it closed.  He attended Seiling Schools and graduated from Seiling High School in 1966.  He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University before starting his 40+ year career in the pipeline inspection business.

He married Annette Taylor where they made there home in Seiling before moving to Ringwood.  To this union, two children were born, Sarah Beth and Gregory Allen.  The pipeline business took him to various cities and states where he made countless friends.  No matter where Bob was at you could count on him knowing at least one person even if he was out of state.  In 2020, he retired and moved back to Ringwood to be closer to the kids.  You could find him making his daily rounds stopping in checking on all the local neighbors or at one of his favorite watering holes.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Sarah Jantzen, son, Greg Hargis and favorite daughter-in-law Heather, four grandchildren, Rylie and Kenslie Jantzen and Gavin and Harper Hargis all of Ringwood; one sister, Janice (Jan) Baker and husband Jerry of Ardmore, sister-in-law, Debbie Hargis of Mooreland; nieces Juile Hedlund of Denton, Texas, Jennifer Day of Ardmore, Courtney McClure of Fairview, Texas and numerous friends and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother Gary Hargis, and son in law Brian Jantzen.
