Sally Minnie Woundedeye, (Cheyenne Name: He'é-éna'he "Old Woman") a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe, passed away on June 17, 2024 at the age of 49 years, 8 months, and 26 days in Billings, Montana. Born on September 22, 1974, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to Florence Mae Smith. Sally's journey through life touched many hearts.

Sally grew up in Seiling, Oklahoma, and spent much of her life in Lame Deer, Pryor, and Billings, Montana. Her vibrant spirit was evident in her love for basketball and her talent for creating shiny, beautiful things. Sally had a contagious sense of humor, always ready with a tease and a laugh, bringing joy to those around her.

A strong woman with an unwavering spirit, Sally never backed down from life's challenges. Her beautiful soul shone through everything she did, always striving to make the world a better place. She had a unique ability to make everything feel okay, offering comfort and laughter to her children and loved ones.

Sally is survived by her four children, daughter Kai of Billings, son Aaron of Billings, son Thomas of Billings, and daughter Rai of Gerryowen, Montana; her mother, Florence Mae Smith, of Woodward, Oklahoma; and one grandchild. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Sally's legacy of strength, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and the power of a beautiful soul. Rest in peace, Sally Minnie Woundedeye. You will be dearly missed.
