Samuel Luke "Sam" Wilcox was born on May 5, 1956 to Roger and Alaine (Kozak) Wilcox in Oklahoma City, OK.  He passed from this life on January 27, 2021 at the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 22 days.

Sam grew up in Seiling where his family worked for the post office, as well as owning Wilcox Ford Motor Company.  He attended Seiling Schools, graduating with the Class of 1974. He served as president of the student council and his senior class, played football where he was all-district tackle, and basketball, where he was basketball king and all-conference, and participated in the choir, track, FFA, and baseball. He was also an Eagle Scout. Sam then attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, where he earned his bachelor's degree.  Sam worked most of his life as an adjuster for banking institutions, mostly with the Tinker Federal Credit Union, before his retirement.  In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering, especially at the Integris Baptist Hospital.  He was a member of the St. Thomas Apostle Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by both of his brothers, Paul Wilcox and Tom Wilcox.

Samuel leaves no survivors other than a lifetime of friends and classmates.

Memorial Services will be held at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  Interment will follow at Brumfield Cemetery.
