Obituary

Sharon Ann Watson began her life on March 2, 1942, in Seiling, Oklahoma, when her parents Ancil and Jessie (Biggs) Watson welcomed her into this world.  "Cherry" as she was better known, left this earthly home on July 19, 2022, at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 17 days.

Due to her stepfathers' job, during Cherry's younger years, the family traveled around the United States until they moved to Seiling, OK where Cherry finished her education. She graduated with the Class of 1960.  Cherry was a beautiful young lady and even turned down a modeling opportunity in her teenage years.

On May 28, 1960, Cherry was united in marriage to Keith "Bud" Sander at the Seiling Christian Church.  The young couple made their first home north of Chester, Oklahoma before moving to Seiling in 1967, where she resided for the remainder of her years. The couple were blessed with three children, Vickie, Micky, and Tracy.  Bud and Cherry enjoyed the country life as they operated a ranching and farming operation throughout the years.

Cherry was a true believer in Christ, as she was a member and attended the First Christian Church in Seiling.

Cherry was a member of the Seiling Service League and she also served as a Girl Scout Leader.

Cherry enjoyed gardening, crochet, embroidery, tole painting, cooking, and music.  She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and was a most requested wedding singer in her younger years. She truly loved her family and felt blessed to be a part of each of their lives.

Cherry is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Bud, one brother, Mark Augusto Buitron, and a granddaughter Marissa Whetstone.

Cherry's memories will be cherished by her children; Vickie Sander of Seiling, Micky and wife Polly Sander of Mutual, OK, and Tracy and wife Maria Sander of Lumberton, TX. Others that will miss her presence in their lives are grandchildren: Robert Moss and wife Tori of Sidney, NB; Christopher Sander and wife Destrye of Chester, OK; Casey Helterbrake and husband Zachery of Seiling; OK Dalton Whetstone of Seiling, OK; and Eric Sander of Seiling, OK, and 8 great-grandchildren with another on the way.  She also leaves behind a brother Larry Watson of Santa Monica, CA, sister-in-law Carol Estus of Seiling, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
