Sherry Evonne White, daughter of Francis "Creel" and Olive Eileene (Pierce) Unwin, was born on November 17, 1942, at Canton, OK.  She departed this life on September 3, 2021, at her home at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 17 days.

Sherry began her school years at the Tivola School in Major County, OK.  She later transferred to Seiling Schools where she attended with the Class of 1960.  In school she enjoyed singing in the choir and played alto saxophone in the band.  She later graduated from the Woodward School of Cosmetology.

Sherry was united in marriage to Orville Wayne White on June 19, 1959, in Canadian, TX, and to this union three children: Denesa, Paula, and Todd were born. Sherry and Orville were called to pastor the Elm Grove Community Church in 1978. Sherry was a dedicated pastor's wife, who spent countless hours mentoring, shepherding, and praying for the wonderful people in her church.    She worked as a hairdresser at Schree's Wig Winder.  Sherry also worked as a Certified Nurses' Aide at the Seiling Hospital. Sherry was also active in a singing group and enjoyed painting.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Orville Wayne White; her son Todd White; and two brothers, Roy Unwin, and Creel Unwin.

Left to carry on her legacy of love are her daughters Denesa Cox and husband Craig of New Cumberland, WV, and Paula Conner and husband Dale of Seiling; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Dan, Tony, Deidre, Brooklyn, Dannielle, Phallyn, Jonah, and Victoria; fifteen great grandchildren, one brother, Neil Unwin and wife Andrea of Plainview, TX, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A reception will be held at the Elm Grove Community Church on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester, OK.  Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
