Wilma "Dorene" Blumer, of Seiling, was born on November 24, 1935 to Walter and Alice Grothe in Springdale, Arkansas.  She passed from this life on March 30, 2018 surrounded by her family at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 6 days.

Dorene was married to John Samuel Blumer in Canadian, Texas on August 9, 1957 and to this union five children, Elaine, Lee, Wesley, Shara, and Carla were born.  The couple made their home in Seiling where Dorene worked at England's Grocery Store and later as a cook for the Seiling Hospital.  However, her main occupation was being a mother and homemaker for her family.  She loved cooking for holidays and would cook elaborate meals for the harvest crews that helped her husband.  Dorene loved animals, especially her two dogs Molly and Cookie.

In addition to her parents, Dorene was preceded in death by her husband John Samuel Blumer; three brothers, Aaron, Louis and Harold Grothe; a sister Clara Oliver; and three infant great grandchildren.

Dorene is survived by her five children, Wilma "Elaine" Blumer of Seiling, Johnny "Lee" Blumer and wife Rita of Seiling, Wesley Edward Blumer and wife Sally of Cestos, Shara Von Feuerborn and husband Randy of Seiling, and Carla Dawn How and husband Ken of Shattuck, as well as eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Dorene will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church in Taloga, OK with Pastor David Elam and Rev. Robert Yandell Officiating.  Burial will follow at Riley Cemetery with Bob Lokey officiating all under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.
